Good Azerbaijan / Azeri restaurant. 1) Must get item is the Kutaby with meat or vegetarian. 2) For meat options, I got the chalakhach & lula kebabs. Both are good, but the chalakhach is amazing! 3) Only issue here is the language barrier I had with the servers. None knew English, only Azeri, Uzbek, Tajik, and Russian. Russian was the lingua Franca for them.

Excellent (lamb) dushbara and outstanding beef plov -- a real treat on a cold winter afternoon! Warm, cozy interior and reasonable menu prices. Kind, polite wait staff.

Best place to have your kebabs ever !!! PERIOD. Food is very delicious even though customer service maybe not is good is their Kebabs. Very cozy place. I wanted to stay there for longer. Two type of kebab. Lamb and beef are the main choice always. French fries come with your order of 1 kebab that's why price of 11$ per skewer understandab

This restaurant is a hidden gem and if you want to try delicious Azerbaijani food you must give this place a visit. Prices are reasonable, foods are delicious, especially the ones I tried(see pics). They have got a small outdoor patio so you can take your drink with yourself, ignite a cigarette and then get back eating your juicy kebab. A few cups of Azerbaijani tea and a paxlava after a nice dinner will complete your day. The only issue is they don't take cards so have cash($50 per person) I will definitely visit here again.

This is one of the most fun and unique meal experiences I've had this year. Trying the cuisine in Baku was one of the highlights of my trip to Central Asia last year, and it was wonderful taste Azeri-styled plov again. Don't let the unassuming exterior dissuade you from visiting this establishment. A small room with large booths and adorned with images of Baku leads to a small outdoor courtyard (probably for the smokers), after which is situated a much larger dining room that had live music when we visited. When we entered, an accordionist was playing at the front. Seated at the table in front of him, honestly we thought the music was too loud and detracted a bit from the experience, but appreciated the entertainment. Most of the other guests, from what we could tell, spoke Russian. We ordered the Old Baku salad ($7), which was a tomato-based salad that paired well with the circular lepeshka bread. Based on the takeaway bag, my guess is that the bread is from a local bakery. Yet it was fresh and warm. My favorite dish was the pilaf with a sweet and tangy sauce with dates, apricots, onions, and beef ($11). We also ordered a chicken kebab, which came with rice (can also come with fries). The chicken was grilled perfectly and wonderfully tender and lightly seasoned. Portions were generous, and we left absolutely stuffed. Some of the waiters speak limited English, but provided good service. On our way out we spoke to one of the waiters who is from Azerbaijan and who provided personal perspective on the language, the war with Armenia, and his experience of moving to the US. This was such a wonderful authentic experience that took me right back to the Caucasus.

I have been at this spot a few times and one thing it keeps you coming back. Primarily because the food rarely disappoint and itis the most relax spot I find. The food is just finger licking good. If you don't like greasy this is not the place for you. There is live music but not during brunch hours and the waiters mostly speak Russian so it'll be good to go with your Russian friends to get the best experience. I don't go to many restaurant that leaves your stomach full, but this one definitely does. This is MEAT heaven.
